第14任總統蔡英文、副總統陳建仁將於520宣示就職，籌委會已發出1萬9千張入場證供民眾進入總統府外慶祝大會觀禮，另有1千名持證貴賓可至舞台兩側觀禮；至於沒有持證的民眾則可至凱道公園路到中山南路口的自由區觀禮，預計可容納1萬到1萬5千名民眾入場。
而為避免有民眾情緒過於激動，籌委會於慶祝大會當天在中山南路的景福門外設置「陳抗區」，供民眾表達意見。
另外，為配合就職相關活動、國宴、僑胞茶會維安，入內的民眾必須配合安檢，不得攜帶雨傘、飲品等禁制物品；同時，慶祝大會預演及活動當天會場周邊將實施交通管制，台北市警局對於相關維安表示已做好妥善準備。
